Harvest is a time to thank God for his goodness, to celebrate the wonder of creation, to praise the Lord for his provision and also to remember those in need. In remembering the less fortunate than ourselves we will be inviting our local community to consider making a gift in our harvest appeal.
We are collecting gifts of money to support two campaigns to “Feed Familes”: Tearfund Colombia Appeal to Feed Refugees and The Trussell Trust Foodbank. Gifts of non-perishable food (tinned and dried produce) and toiletries are also very welcome and we will be donating these to local foodbanks.
It would be wonderful if people in St John’s parish could be as generous as possible and help make a huge difference to families locally but also in Colombia.
Cheques made to the Harvest appeal should be made to St John’s PCC.
Please put cheques or cash in an envelope marked Harvest Appeal.
If you are a Tax Payer, please use a Gift Aid envelope from the pews in Church, fill in the information required on the front and also mark it Harvest Appeal.
You can also donate through the website if more convenient by clicking on this link, and then please follow the instructions to mark that your donation is specifically for the Harvest Appeal.
