Do it Fair for a Fairer World

The campaign theme for this year is “Do it Fair” encouraging the public to make a difference for farmers and workers by choosing Fairtrade products. The focus is on the critical role Fairtrade plays in providing fair pay, ensuring fair treatment, and building a Fairer future for producers amidst rising costs and climate challenges.

What is Fairtrade Fortnight?

A Call to Action: It’s a period when thousands of companies, groups, and individuals across the UK unite to raise awareness and support the global Fairtrade movement.  This year Fairtrade have a Brew it Fair Campaign – More information (including a great video)  can be found here.

Highlighting Struggles:  The campaign aims to inform the public about the struggles faced by smallholder farmers and workers due to volatile prices, climate change, and economic instability.

Promoting Fairtrade:  By choosing Fairtrade products like tea, coffee, chocolate and bananas, people ensure farmers receive a Fairtrade Minimum Price and the Fairtrade Premium to invest in their communities.

Buying Fairtrade is easy – there are almost 5,000 Fairtrade products from coffee and tea, to flowers and gold, so when you shop look for the Fairtrade Mark.
