Not only is Dave our pastoral ministry and social action coordinator, he also recently felt called  by God to train as a Self Supporting Minister at St John’s, so is now working as a curate alongside Elliott.  If that didn’t keep him busy enough, Dave is also a part time tutor at St Mellitus Theological College in Liverpool, and has a wealth of experience in Church leadership. Prior to joining the congregation at St John’s, he was part of the Leadership team at King’s Church in Manchester. Dave and his wife, Philippa, also worked as missionaries in the Democratic Republic of Congo serving the thousand Pentecostal churches in the Kasai provinces. Dave and Philippa enjoy walking, especially when they can do a good coastal path. They also love cooking together and enjoy spending time with their family. Dave is also a long-suffering Birmingham City supporter.
