Christine moved to Burscough in 2006 shortly after the death of her husband. She began worshipping at St. Johns and has attended there ever since. After teaching for 38 years, she took early retirement in 2012 to care for her mum. Christine felt that God had brought her to Burscough for a reason and in 2015 she began her Reader training. Christine was licensed at Liverpool Cathedral in 2017.
As well as preaching and leading at Sunday services, she is responsible for organizing the informal Tuesday morning service. On Wednesday mornings along with a team of volunteers she organizes Little Lambs, a group for babies and toddlers and their parents and carers.
Christine enjoys spending time with her daughter, son in law and granddaughter, meeting up with friends for coffee and meals, gardening, reading detective novels, travelling and listening to music.
