Diane worshipped at St Leonard’s Church in Middleton, with her family from an early age. She joined the church choir as a teenager and ran a Girl Guide Company from the age of 20 for twenty years. She was confirmed at the age of 15, but it was only after joining a house group when she was 26 and praying to be filled with the Holy Spirit, that the Bible started to make sense and her relationship with God really began.

Having helped with church holiday club events and Sunday School, she completed a two year Children’s Ministry Course accredited by Chester University in 2012. Sensing that God wanted more, she continued to explore ministry which led to Reader training, and was licensed by the Bishop of Manchester in 2016.

Diane is married to Keith; they met whilst helping with the church youth group and confirmation class.

Having worked in banking from the age of 16, Diane had the opportunity to take early retirement in 2018, and moved to Burscough in December 2019.  Keith and Diane then joined the worshipping community at St Johns.

Her hobbies are sewing, knitting, baking, singing, visiting National Trust properties, and birdwatching.
